"Seamus (formerly Tonka) Loves his new name as it is a part of his new home and enviroment.

Seamus now lives with Dan, Karen and Indie. He has the warmth and love of Dan and Karen and a wonderful friendship with Indie. Dan and Karen are very devoted dog lovers and owners. They walk their dogs morning and night, rain, hail or shine. They are an athletic couple who enjoy the great outdoors in the company of their dogs, and in the same time enjoy them to be a part of their life in general. As you can see.....they are a part of their lives indoors too. When they are home they visit through the day and have their own bed in their bedroom, where they sleep at night.

Life is now special for Seamus as his new family make him feel that way because he is to them. Seamus should now spend a very happy life as a fury human with them and his new fury human friend Indie.

“Tonka”(Before Dan, Karen & Indie)

Tonka is a Black and White, blue eyed, desexed male born the 25.05.02

Tonka is one big loveable sook  who thrives on human company and captures your heart with his loveable ways, but so much so he will go to any lengths to be with you. He has been known to jump through a flyscreen and jump up on the couch so he can cuddle up in his efforts.

Tonka needs to live with a friendly medium to large dog or with somebody who has a lot of love and time to give. He just loves people and children.

Without this, Tonka feels the need to try and escape or find his own way for affection. When Tonka feels love that is given, all owners have said how he is such a lovely natured dog.

Tonka has unfortunately developed a strong instinct and dislike of cats and little dogs that want to fight.

Tonka’s Registered name is:- Arcticpalace His Majesty (formerly Prince)

Tonka’s parents sire: Grand Champion Arcticmate Yukons Jack and

Dam: Ch Chalariz Queen of the ice (ai) are both hip scored and eye tested clear.

Tonka is free to the right home. One where he will be wanted and loved for the rest of his life…. Do you think this could be you? Contact Robyn 02 4777 4761

A Little bit on Tonka, you might be interested in.

Life has been a little unfortunate for Tonka. His original owners he went to live with had an 8 month old husky female Siberian and Tonka was purchased for company for her. She and him were best of friends. They also had two little dogs that I was told Tonka adored.
Unfortunately they were transferred overseas with work and asked if they could try and place the two Siberians together.
This did not end up happening and I was told he was placed with new owners who had a female and the female of theirs was placed with another male.
I had a home for Tonka where he would of been living with his litter sister in luxury for life, but allowed the placing to go ahead because he was their dog, it had already been done before they notified me and he was still going to live with another Siberian.
Unfortunately this went wrong when their 3 yr old Siberian turned almost blind with cataracts and was picking on Tonka. They wanted me to place both dogs but in conversation I said to her its sounds like your female is almost blind and it would be hard for me to place her problem child.
They took her to the vet and it was confirmed she had maximum 5% vision left and a decision for her to be uthanased was made by them. They had already spent thousands of dollars on other problems and they could not afford eye surgery, and were unsure of what else was going to be.
They also had a sick young baby and time was less available and she was undecided if she could give him the time he wanted and deserved. Then on a walk Tonka for his first time ever took a dislike to a cat on his walk and it was killed. The owners decided they did not want him anymore.
Tonka was placed in a new home where they absolutely adored him, but they had two little dogs. One little dog, with big dog syndrome and I think jealousy in settling in, and with all their efforts they were never going to be friends which saddened them when Tonka in his defence hurt little dog and being last in was of course had to be the one to go.

Tonka has a big stride like his brother Ace (see Todd and Ace page) and would make a great runner as Ace is for Todd, but he also deserves and needs to be part of the family.
